Another Prayer Answered: Wednesday Nights Take II

God had so richly answered prayers over the children's minsitry. Specifically for it to grow. I have prayed for numerical growth - meaning we'd reach as many children as possible with the love of Jesus Christ. God is answering this prayer as we grow by leaps and bounds both on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday nights. I have prayed for spiritual growth of the children and their families, which I've seen answered time and time again. But one prayer I've had HEAVY on my heart is the prayer for additional people to step up into teaching and leading.

God has sent wonderful people to teach and help. But WE CONTINUE TO GROW, which of course means, WE NEED MORE TEACHERS AND LEADERS. I and our current volunteers can only do so much unless we are cloned:-) I'm just sayin'...

Let me share with you how God has begun to answer this specific prayer this week.

1. We have a wonderful lady who just stepped up to teach the PK class on a rotating basis during 1st service. She is an experienced PK teacher and we are blessed to have her, and our other teachers, on board.

2. I was taken by totally by surprise after church today. A lady approached Miss Jodi about starting a PK/KG Class on Wednesday Nights. THIS IS HUGE!!! We currently DO NOT have a PK class on Wednesday nights. So the little ones were having to come in with the elementary children. This was becoming a bit of an issue because of the LARGE NUMBER of children God was sending to us on Wednesday nights. I have been in PRAYER ALL WEEK, knowing God was leading me to split the class into two. A class for 3yrs-KG and a class for 1st through 4th grade. The problem was that I had no leadings from God as to who to ask to teach it. Unbeknownst to me, Miss Jodi had specifically prayed about this on THIS VERY MORNING! So, when this wonderful lady came to us after church today, I knew that it was He who was at work. He had it under control the WHOLE TIME! I should've know he'd provide the right person at the right time.

Now, you may not understand why I'm so excited about this answered prayer so let me break it down for you. To find someone who is willing to teach children on a regular basis is rare. To find someone who is willing to teach the younger ones is even rarer still. It takes a very special person to teach such a wonderful age group. But, then again, we worship a wonderful God who faithfully answers our prayers with AWESOME deeds!

'You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds,O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas.' Psalm 65:5

What prayers has He faithfully answered in your life?

In His Love, Cathy
