Here's to those I admire, whose acts of faith and love may go unnoticed by others. You guys ROCK! I'm honored to know you!
I admire the children who share their love with the seniors at Berryhill Manor.
I admire the little girl who encouraged her church friends to invite other kids to church.
I admire the teenage boy who walks to 2 miles to church on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings because his parents don't go.
I admire the teenage girls who answer Christ's call to serve teaching and helping in children's ministry. They don't know what wonderful mentors and examples they are to the children.
I admire the widower who lost his wife over a year ago, yet greets everyone with a smile and a hug.
I admire the students at Pace High who are standing up for their faith in the midst of the ACLU's lawsuit. No one asked them to, they just are. I especially admire the young man who has started a morning Bible Study before school at his house and 100 kids showed up!
I admire the faith of the family who is affected by cancer. What an incredible faith and strength they have!
I admire my husband, whose faith is strong and is my gentle giant, a quiet leader, wonderful father, and the rock of strength God placed in my life.
I admire the friend who has courageously stood up for her children through a health crisis and other difficult situations. Yet she is always ready to help others in their time of need.
I admire the friends who serve in children's ministry though their lives are already so busy. Neither rain, sleet, snow, hail, nor high water keeps them from serving!
I admire the friend who is always so supportive and ready to help at a moments notice...even coming to babysit me in recovery after surgery. "I'm in pain and I gotta pee!" She saw me at my worst and survived!
I admire my fellow believers around the world who put their lives on the line to share the Gospel.
I admire the single moms who make sure their children are in church and are being brought up in the Lord.
I admire the parent whose spouse is working long distance or stationed oversees. You guys have so much strength to keep your families going through these times.
I admire those who have overcome addictions and life's troubles, who are now experiencing life filled with hope and joy! You have such a strength about you and your lives are such a great testimony.
I admire the pastor and his wife, who have risked all and remained obedient to God's calling.
I admire the parents who have dedicated themselves to spiritual growth and committed to ensuring their children are 'trained up in the way they should go.'
I admire the friends who faithfully teach/help in a moments notice in an emergency, even if it's not their turn.
And you know what? Every one of these people are the most humble, selfless people I know. The Lord surely delights in each and everyone of them.
'For the Lord delights in his people;he crowns the humble with victory.' Psalm 149:4
These are just some of the people that I admire. They are special and awesome!
In His Love, Cathy

Cathy,
What a neat idea to write about - People You Admire. Wish I had thought of it myself.
Your examples were well thought out too.
Thanks

These were people either whom I know personally or heard about their amazing dedication to the Lord through others just withing the past week. I began thinking about them all and realized just how admirable they were for their faith. God put them on my heart.
This was really beautiful! We are blessed to be surrounded by some amazing people.
