What a night! We had 28 elementary age children at Bible Study tonight! We broke a record for Wednesday nights tonight! God is doing great things in PCC Children's Ministry! We had full on church here tonight between the youth (50+) and the children (28 plus parents). IT WAS AWESOME!
May I take a moment to say that the growth of the Wednesday night Children's Bible Study Class is NO SMALL FEAT. I remember when we tried to start midweek Children's groups in the past. When we first started, we'd have maybe two or three kids show up, two of which were mine! Now, we have almost as many children showing up on Wednesday nights as we do Sunday mornings - DEFINITELY SIGNS OF LIFE in our children's ministry. Both children and families are being SPIRITUALLY IMPACTED. God is bringing about change in the lives of children, in the lives of parents, and in the life of this church! The fact that these parents have committed to bringing their children on Wednesday nights...and their NEIGHBORS & FRIENDS CHILDREN along with them, is a sign of strong, growing believers!
Let me share a sweet experience:
One little girl made flyers inviting other kids to church. She brought them to church this past Sunday with her and gave them to the children at church, asking them to use it to invite other children to church. As a result, we had several visitors come to the Wednesday night class. One CHILD getting other KIDS involved in inviting KIDS to CHURCH! AWESOME! Out of the mouths of babes...
