Signs of Life: Focus on Children's Ministry Volunteers

"We will not hide these truths from our children;we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders." Psalm 78:3-5

I don't even know where to start. God had blessed the children's ministry with so many amazingly gifted people. Each one has one thing in common, they serve Christ wholeheartedly and they have a passion for reaching children with the message of salvation. Oh, wait, there's another thing they have in common. Each of them are so humble they will probably kill me for even mentioning them here. But I feel compelled to honor them. You know what, now that I think about it, they have so many more characteristics in common as well. They are all generous, giving, and humble. They are the most unselfish people I know. They look out for others and see to their needs before their own. They are faithful to the mission God has given this ministry. Each of them are also great friends of mine and I count their frienship a blessing! Not to mention that these wonderful people volunteer in so many other ways in this ministry and across the church. Any one of them is involved in at a minimum of 3 to 6 ministry activities at the same time. And what's more, there are three young ladies on the list who are products of our teen ministry! They felt the call to serve and answered the call! How awesome is that! This is also a testimony to the work God is doing in the lives of teens through the youth ministry of PCC! Praise God!

Now I wish to honor these volunteers, for honoring them is honoring the God they so willingly serve. Their lives bear witness to Christ in such monumental ways. They are living testimonies to the abundant life in Christ! Want to see signs of life? Then look to these amazing people.

Each one of these people are also dearly loved! I hope I remembered everyone! In addition to these volunteers, there are so many others of our church family who have come out and supported the children's ministry in so many ways throughout the year. We are so thankful for your support, prayers, and help. You are a blessing to this ministry and such an important player in reaching lost children with the message of salvation. I am also so very thankful for Pastor Ron and Renae for their prayers and active support for the children's ministry as well. You guys are such a blessing!

Did you know that according to the Barna research group, a child has formed their beliefs about God by the age of 13. Once a person becomes an adult, the probability that they will become saved is so small. The job is so great and though we have a great group of volunteers, there is more work to be done than we can do. We are always praying and asking for people who are willing to step up to the ministry of reaching children for Christ. It's a big job and it takes ALL of us, with God's help, to accomplish it. Won't YOU answer that call?

"We will not hide these truths from our children;we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders." Psalm 78:3-5

In His Love,
Cathy
