I just stand amazed at what God does sometimes. I guess I should know to expect Him to do the unexpected, but He still amazes me!
Sometimes, I'm just caught up in my own little world, my own little problems, my own little worries, my own little wants that He just catches me by surprise. At times it seems as though He is pulling the rug right out from under me. In those times, I ask myself, "What is God doing?" Notice here, who I asked? Did I ask God? No, I ask myself as though I can figure it out. Well, there's the problem! I can't figure anything out on my own, I mean, He's God. Who do I think I am to try to figure Him out? The times He pulls the rug out from under me, when I didn't see it coming, could be because I was focused on me and not Him! Ever had that happen to you?
Then there are those times when He does something wonderfully amazing right before our eyes - and to think that He allows us to witness it, to be a part of it! Who are we to even be worthy of such? Today was such a day! This past week has been just such a week. We witnessed children get on FIRE for God and ASK JESUS CHRIST to be THEIR LORD and SAVIOR through VBS! God blessed me with the special privilege of meeting with them to talk about their salvation and upcoming Baptism. What a joy! What a blessing! To see the love these little hearts have for our God, our precious Savior! What a special honor it was to meet with them, to see them express their love and belief in Christ! What a joy this has brought to so many families this week. One mother said she was at peace, relieved, that her two oldest children have been saved. I know that feeling so well! There are several more appointments set up to meet with even more children to discuss their decision for Christ! Pray for these baby believers as they take their first steps! We have many people who will be Baptized Sunday, pray for their new walk in Christ! What a wonderful God we serve who concerns Himself with these little ones...not wanting a single one of them to slip away!
Yes, I stand amazed in the presence of our Wonderful Lord!
"We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, 'What amazing things the LORD has done for them.' Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy!" Psalm 126:2-3
In His Love, Cathy
