The Sweetest Sound

I just heard the sweetest sound today.
A sound that causes my heart to leap for joy.
The sound of our children, singing and praising God.
As I sit in my office, busying about the tasks that never seem to end,
God broke through today with the sweetest memory I will forever cherish.
Our children, joining their voices together as one worshipping our Lord and Savior.
Yes, two teenagers, who could be spending their time elsewhere involved in other things.
Instead, they are here, at church. Singing. Playing. Worshipping.
Their sweet melodies seep slowly into my office as one strums along on the guitar.
My heart cries out in praise, my eyes tear up in joy, at the sound of their voices blending in harmony.
How wonderful to know that our children are joining together in worship, praise, and love for our Risen Savior!
How thankful I am that they have given their hearts, lives, and all that they are to Christ.
How amazing that ones so young could have such a passion for our glorious Lord!
How awesome it is that God works in and through them.
How magnificent is our Lord that He uses ones so young, innocent, and sweet.
I wish I could preserve this moment forever.
Yes, what a sweet sound I hear today as I sit in my office.
Thank you, Lord!
In His Love, Cathy
