It's Saturday

It's Saturday. A nice, rainy, quiet Saturday. Everyone is home. Everything is quiet. Everything is peaceful.

It's Saturday. A lazy kind of Saturday. I enjoy a long, cup of coffee in the morning as my mind wanders aimlessly around the brim of my cup. No where to be. No schedule to keep.

It's Saturday. No work, no games, no activities. Time stands still as if for a brief moment. I hear the laughter of my children playing together. How happy their sounds!

It's Saturday. A tent made of linens, pillows and our couch adorns the living room. The belongings of our youngest child scattered on the floor within. His watch, his flashlight, a bag of popcorn, a sleeping bag.

It's Saturday. My only day 'off.' A day to enjoy the company of my husband and my children without the outside world creeping in. A day of rest and relaxation.

It's Saturday. No makeup. Hair pulled up. Ball cap on. Who cares?

It's Saturday. Praise God, Hallelujah, it's Saturday!
