Welcome

Welcome to my first blog! I'm very excited about the prospects of having my very own blog sight. I'm hoping that my blog will serve as a creative outlet for me to express the passions in my life. However, I also hope others will be blessed through what is expressed on this site. God has given each of us all unique life experiences and different passions. As for me, he's given me a passion for teaching and for reaching children with the love of Jesus Christ. He's also brought me through some really hard, tough times. Looking back on my life, I now realize these things, though extremely scary and difficult, molded me into the person I am today. Then I realized that there may be others who are going through the things that I've gone through, who need an encouraging word, a prayer, or just someone who understands. Who am I? Well, let's see. Where should I start? I am a wife to a wonderful man. We've been married almost 21 years. I am a mother to three beautiful children. Our oldest son just graduated from high school last week. Our daughter starts high school this next fall. Our youngest will be in 4th grade. Whew! Let me catch my breath here! I find it unbelievable how quickly they have grown up! My husband and I are high school teachers at the same school. He teaches history and I teach math. We went to Troy State (BS) and Auburn (MS). WAREAGLE!!! I serve as the Children's Pastor at our church while my husband serves in our church youth ministry. Working with kids is AWESOME! It keeps you young, as my husband says! I am a thyroid cancer survivor of 10 years. I am one who is very thankful for God's grace, mercy, and healing! I feel that He has given me a second chance at life. Thanks for reading!
