Lord, my heart is not proud;my eyes are not haughty.
I don't concern myself with matters too great
or too awesome for me to grasp.
Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself,
like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother's milk.
Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord—now and always.
Psalm 131
I love this Chapter of Psalms. It is one of the Psalms of Ascent. I received this gentle reminder today in my daily E-Couragement for Women. Praise God that we don't have to concern ourselves with matters too awesome or great for us to understand. When we are overwhelmed, worried, or stressed we can find peace and comfort in Him. We can trust God completely in all things and simply have faith in Him. Remind yourself that He is God and is in control. Rest assure that He will take care of all of our needs. After all, He loves us so very much. We can calm and quiet ourselves in His loving care. Put your hope in the Lord now and always! We can count on Him!
In His Love, Cathy
